Frequently Asked Questions

What equipment do I need?

To successfully publish a tour on the Transported platform, you will need a 360° camera or DSLR with a panoramic tripod head, a late-model PC (within the last two years) with a good graphics card, and a high-speed Internet connection. A Mac version of Transported Creator is coming soon.

What cameras do you support?

Transported supports the importing of any equirectangular spherical images. Use your existing DSLR to capture and then generate 360° spherical stills using your favorite panorama stitching software. Or use 360° cameras such as the Panono. Also supported, but not recommended for viewing on high-end VR headsets like the Oculus Rift, are the Samsung Gear 360 and the Ricoh Theta.

What media types do you support?

Transported supports the importing of equirectrangluar 360° JPEG stills. We recommend that the resolution be at least 8,192 pixels by 4,096 pixels. For ambient audio and voiceovers, WAV audio files are supported.

Does your software do the panoramic stitching?

Transported Creator does not stitch photos together. You’ll need to use other panorama stitching software and output equirectangular JPEGs.

What are the minimum system requirements for your software?

Please make sure your PC meets these minimum system requirements:

  • Multicore Intel processor with 64-bit support
  • Windows 8 or Windows 10
  • 4GB of RAM (8GB recommended)
  • 1GB of available hard disk space for installation
  • Additional disk space for working on tours (at least 5GB recommended)
  • 1920x1080 display
  • Graphics card: DX9 (shader model 3.0) or DX11 with feature level 9.3 capabilities
